On our Called By Name Collection, For This Child I Prayed Collection and our signature Threaded Oaks line you will find scripture stitched directly onto every garment in some way with a corresponding scripture card to help you disciple your kids and teach them God’s Word.
We believe this is a fun and intentional way to teach your kids God’s Word, encourage your kids to teach others and an amazing way to pray scripture over your child each day.
Here at Threaded Oaks this is the most important part of our business. We hope every scripture helps you and your children to be Rooted Well in Jesus in the midst of your daily life.
The Beginning of Rooted Well
Threaded Oaks was started to help families stay rooted in scripture and the promises God has made throughout the Bible in the midst of our busy, chaotic lives. When I became a mom and was looking for cute Christmas Eve outfits for my kids I found it near impossible to find anything that actually referenced Jesus. It of course existed but it seemed I always ran into the same few situations if I could actually find it: they weren't in a style I liked (I'm a southern mama and love classic styles), they were always sold out or the faith-based items needed to be pre-ordered way in advance. As a full-time working mom planning outfits months in advance was out of the question and pre-orders were hard to keep up with. My frustration only grew each holiday season as I tried to find clothes for my kids and as I began to think more about why it mattered to me that the outfits be Christ centered.
As I thought about my kids clothing, I realized that this was a huge aspect of my kids lives that I never even considered when thinking about discipleship and raising my kids to know the love of Jesus and His Word. So an idea began to form for clothes that helped me as a mom to intentionally disciple my kids and help me teach them scripture.
Threaded Oaks had existed in the background of my family’s life as a creative fun outlet for me (originally called Oak and Olive Co.) but with this new idea and desire Threaded Oaks began to become something new. Now with each piece of clothing, we seek to help families be Rooted Well in Jesus as you disciple and raising up the next generation of Christ followers!
